Bönpo school project in India
Many children in remote mountain areas have no or only basic possibilities to access formal education. To enable a good standard of education we are planning the construction of a Bön Himalaya school. Suitable property outside Siliguri, near the Indian-Nepalese border, has been already provided for.
The main catchment areas for
the primary and secondary modern school with a boarding school will be
the Himalayan region:
India (Sikkim,
Arunachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh)
Bhutan, Nepal (Dolpo, Mustang, Humla, Baglung, Kathmandu and neighbouring districts)
China (Autonome Region Tibet, Sichuan, Qinghai, Kanzu)

China (Autonome Region Tibet, Sichuan, Qinghai, Kanzu)
The school will be available to all children, regardless of race, sex, religion, caste, political or social background. Especially orphans and children from poor families will be supported by grants. The main curriculum will be in accordance with the standard of the DoE (Department of Education of the Central Tibetan Administration) and the CTSA (Central Tibetan Schools Association).

The children will be further
educated in the literature, religion, culture and history of the
Himalaya residents, Tibetans and Bonpos.
It is the intent and task of the Himalaya Bon School to provide a modern traditional and spiritual education for the children of the Himalayan region.
